Camp Series: 4 Movie Night

Kia Ora! Welcome to another one of my camp blog series!

Sadly this is going to be the last one that we are going to do considering it is the last day of term and we won't have anymore time!

Today I will be sharing with you all one of my favorite activities that we did on camp! Movie night! We got some popcorn each and a lollypop to snack on while we were watching our movie!

We watched Karate Kid!

This was one of my favorite activity because it was an awesome way to reflect and chill out after a really long day at school. It was also a really interesting movie and gave us all a chance to syau up a bit later! I really enjoyed it and I think everyone else did aswell there was even a few people who fell asleep!

Thank you all for coming onto my blog! Please come back again soon I am sorry that thi is going to be the last camp series but I am also happy I got to share this with you! What's your favorite movie? Do you like sweet or buttery popcorn? COME BACK AGAIN!

Camp Series Three: Bealey Spurr

 Kia Ora Welcome Back!

This is yet another camp post! What is Bealey Spur? This is a 12 hour hike! We only went up half way though because we were and hour and a half late to get out there because of the snowy conditions further up the track. I think that is a thing we really needed to improve on  organising our gear. I think this because it would of helped up a lot if we all worked together and got everything done so then we would have been able to get more activities done and derived more out of them. We had to stop a few times along the way for everyone to catch up!

I think that I did really well. I actually really enjoyed it because it gave me time to reflect on everything. The hike was very challenging but I am really glad that I did do it and that I got through it. Now I look back I realise it was really fun! Playing in the snow and all of the delicious food helped along the way. It was hard getting up because almost all of it was uphill and that was really challenging compared to the smaller hike that we completed the day before.

Thank you all so much for coming onto my blog! I hope that you come back to read and hear about all of the different things my classe did on camp. There will be two more blogs about camp coming up soon! I hope that you all come here to learn about the great adventures I had with my class on camp. I am really excited to share these things with you! Have you ever been on a hike?  If so where?  What was the most challenging part?  Did you originally know what Bealey Spur was before you stated reading?

Camp Series Two: Devil's PunchBowl

 Kia Ora!

Welcome to my blog!

After we went to Castle Hill and started to unpack everything we went off on a small hike called the Devil's Punchbowl. There were so many steps that we all had to climb up. This was a great way to get us going after we had just been on a bus for a few hours. We were surrounded by snow covered bush and native trees. One of the coolest things was crossing all of the bridges. There was so many mountains around us with tons of rocks and snow. Once we got up there we got greeted with a platform looking directly onto a huge gorgeous waterfall with crystal clear water and grey slippery rocks.

Reflection!
I think that this was one of the highlights of camp for me, This is because the view was stunning and there was some amazing sights as we were walking up the hill aswell. I think it was amazing to see all of the snow and all of the animals. I think I would go back there again and get a better look at the waterfall. Im curious on why its called Devils Punchbowl.

Thank you all so much for coming onto my blog! Have you ever seen something like this? Where? How did it make you feel? Would this experience stand out to you or would this be something normal for you? Thanks again and let me know!

Camp Post Series - One Castle Hill

Kia Ora!
Welcome To my blog.

Me and my class Rimu went along all the way over to Author's Pass for 3 day and 2 nights. On that period of time a lot of activities and events took place. I will be sharing 5 of those activities/events of the course of 5 days. Today is going to be the first one and the second will be out tomorrow. 6 parents came along as parent help and we also had our two wonderful instructors with us.

What is Castle Hill? Castle hill is a rocky wonderland that we stopped on while we were driving up there ( we went on bus ). We stopped at Castle Hill to eat our morning tea. While we were there we went on a little walk and got to play around in all of the snow and on all of the rocks. It was beautiful. The only downside is that the bus driver was a little upset with up because we came back half and hour later then what we needed to be  causing him to be late OOPS.

My Reflection on this.
I think that Castle hill will be one of my most memorable parts of camp this is because it was the first thing that we did as a group other than  the bus ride up to Arthur's Pass. I also think I would remember it because it would have been the first time in a very long time that I have seen that much snow in one place. I had an amazing time playing with snow and talking with friends it was an awesome way to start of our camp as a class.

Thank you all for coming onto my blog! I hope you all come back tomorrow to see the next part of the series. We went on quite a long bus ride getting up there what is the longest bus ride you have been on? Mine was 10 hours coming back up from down south. Do you like the snow? or are you more of a summery person because I feel like everyone is a winter person until winter actual comes. What was the first thing that came to mind when your read Castle Hill? What did you think it was? Were you correct?
