Ice Palace ( Part 2 )

In Rimu we have been continuing on with the Ice Palace so far I have found that it is very interesting and I am super excited to read more. Everyone in my class had to write two paragraphs and then improve them.

Turn your face into the east wind, and if you could see forever you would see Ivan’s land. It is a land where…… snow twinkles onto the faces and skins of the people and the fur of the scruffy scowling wolves. Where the wolves meet the people and the people aren't scared. A land where Ivan loves his people and they love him. You will see the sight of wolves becoming friends with the dogs, unicorns becoming friends with the dragons lions becoming friends with the lambs and people becoming friends with the people happiness becoming friends with the anger. You will see the thick deep beautiful snow that swallows everything around it with a thick icy coat of coldness. You will see Ivan clambering and destroying the snow in front of him with bright red cheeks and cold blue lips with his dark brown hair in face trying to get to the fire and the smoke to keep his people warm, you will see the sight of Ivan against the wolves and the people against the thieves and what's left of the fire and smoke from the chimneys.

Green trees slowly turning into shades of white and gray, ice hanging down from the ceiling, the soft slushy ground underneath you, you hear kids playing on skis, sleds, and snowboards sliding down steep slippery snowy mountains. The salty icy cold air in your face with the sweet smell of hot chocolate in the distance, you see packs of howling scruffy fluffy wolves. You will see a land of happiness, peace, kindness, until… the thieves turn sneaker the dragons become fierce and break out of their cages and the wolves become evil and scary the people become angry, Ivan becomes sad, hopeless and it needs to stop quickly. He can't do this on his own and he is getting weak and less powerful but no less of a hero he needs to find help from a nyone he can trust and he or she needs to come quickly.

The first part saws turn you face into the east wind and if you could see forever you would see Ivans land its a land where that was the start of the real book and we had to continue on from there, these are some photos of our class making a stop play where some people act out the scene in the book to improve our writing skills.
