Novel Study Update 2

Today I will be sharing another one of my novel study update blogs. I have made three of these including this one. ne first was an example of the computer work we have been doing and the other one was some of the pages in the creative response to my book. As Well as this one I will also be adding some pages of my work. I have added the dates I have created these in. I am proud of my work because I think that it is detailed and colourful so it isint as boring. I think that it is worth sharing and I hope you like it.
In saying that I would love some feedback so I can edit and improve for next time.

There was a few challenges that I had to work around throughout the book and I am proud that I overcome them. I have been doing this work around the Novel " When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit" It was an amazing book and if you have a chance to read it please please do.

PET DAY!

Last friday was a super special day because it was.... PET DAY. This happens once every year towards the end of term I think that it has always been so fun and this was one of the best pet days yet., I have already done a Pet day post about what we had done in the morning but this post has all of the events.

If your school has a pet day please tell me in the comments and tell me what usually happens!
What is your favorite animal?  Mine is Dogs.

I really enjoyed looking through all of the different photos of the day and seeing photos of myself with my friends. I have created a small google slide with photos on what we did. Pet day is not just about pets it's about having fun and trying to do new things. My favorite part was the animals and the  Horse trick show performed by my classmate. I also found this pet day more unique from others because this time we had student leaders helping to judge the animals.
I can wait until next pet day.

Novel Study Update.

Today I will be sharing with you all some of my novel study work. This blog is not at all like my other blog based on Novel study. In that blog I showed you some of the basic computer work examples. I have now created a book with some information about different parts of the book. I have created the first few pages and explained what I found was challenging. I really like creating this book and I think that iy was fun and I really am liking how it is coming out.

I found it challenging overall to make sure the pages stay into the cover, this was challenging  because of the way I chose to connect the two together., I really liked making the story web and I am proud about that. I think that I could definitely improve on the other drawing on the other page.

My Favorite Shows

Today I will be sharing with you another home learning blog for this week.
What is it about? I is about my favorite TV shows. I have created a small slide with a photo of each of my favorite shows I have also made a biteable about why I like both of these shows.
What is a biteable? a biteable is a small animated video with cool chartres with the text you have shown.

I found it challenging explain why I liked them in a bit more detail than just the basics but I am glad on how my answer have turned out. I really like thinking about all of the shows I watch and thinking about my favorite shows.
I always say that there's always room for improvement in any and every blog. What can I improve on?

Pet Day!

Today I will be sharing with you my creation I have made.

I have made a sand sculpture with sand and multiple different types of flower. I have worked with my best friend to do so. We do this very pet day and soon there will be more exciting pet days things to happen and I will be doing another blog sharing some other things that will be happening. Like sausage sizes and the animals.

We do different things that happen every pet day and we always do sand saucers or vegetable sculptures every morning on pet day.
All of the animals come at 1:45 and I am bringing my dog.
I hope you all enjoy my creation.
What I enjoyed. I really enjoyed finding information and planning how to make it. I did find it a bit challenging to try and keep the flowers in the same spot and stop them from falling down.

GHOST....Booo

I am so happy that you guys have come and seen my blog!

Todays blog is..... GHOST. Now that might be a little confusing but to explane further Ghost is the class book mw and my class have been reading and doing work about. This work includes Vocab, New words there meaning and some sentences and my personal favorite making something to do with the book.

I am super proud of some of my work that I have been doing and would really enjoy all of the feedback you can give me so I can further improve.
We do our ghost work every monday at reading time and the rest of the week we read the book to learn more about the book to answer some more of the questions.

What have I made? I have made a google slide sharing an example of each part of my work and written what it is.

What I enjoyed?
I really enjoyed creating some of the funnier more inserting work like decorating the slide and making the images.
I found it challenging to pick what type of examples I should show.

Directions In Te Reo

Today I will be sharing with you something that I Have been working on as well as my class for the past two weeks on monday. Every monday we do Te Reo and doing a fun way to learn how to speak it. For the past couple of weeks we have been learning how to give directions. A fun way we have been learning directions is by using a google slide we created a maze and added in the treasure chest in one square. Then we went around talking with other people and getting them to do our maze with us giving them directions only in Te Reo. Then we try to do theres and see if we got it correct.

I have shared the six most used words I used to give directions to my classmates to help them find my treasure. I have shared this in a google slide with the english words as well. Try and practice the words and share with me how you went in the comments.

I found it challenging to pick out my most used words and I found it fairly hard to do other peoples mazes and understand the words.
My favorite part was making the DLO  and sharing it.

Today is going to be another home learning blog for week six!
What and I going to be doing? Well you may have gotten a fair idea from the title but today I will be sharing on a google slide a small speech. To write a speech you need a conclusion around three points and a introduction. Because according to the instructions it only needs to be a small speech I will only be doing around to.


I really enjoyed thinking of some of my points and I really want to be able  to do some more home learning like this again. i think this because it is good for your writing skills to practice different genres of writing. I think that I have found it challenging to keep it small and simple. We have done speeches earlier this year in my class and I enjoyed them very much.

Fun fact about our Home learning activities this term the students got to pick the activities.

Novel Study!

Today I will be sharing with you all today one of my up[dates on novel study.

I have been reading a book called when hitler stole pink rabbit. This book is about Anna and her family. They are constantly on the run from hitler who is out to get his father. The book shares a lot about Anna and the people around her.

We are all reading different books and we are making different activities about each chapter, I have been working on this for around three weeks and I have read up to chapter 14. I have done up to chapter 10 on my work. At the end of my novel study we will be doing a huge blog sharing a lot of things. This blog will be coming out in around 4 weeks.

I will be sharing some of my favorite items of work.

What is a summary? A summary is like a quick blurb about the chapter.  You have to simplify the chapter in one paragraph.
My words. I have to share verbs are doing words, Nouns person place or a thing and adjectives something descriptive. I also share some words with three syllables.

I really love doing Novel study because you can make it anyway you want and you can understand it very well. I think that it is challenging to completely understand the book. My favorite part about Novel study is definitely reading the book.

Cotton Candy.... YUM!

What will I be sharing in this home learning blog? Well today I am going to be sharing something extremely exciting and really proud to share with you all today. Before I tell you exactly what I have made I will tell you the instructions for my home learning post.
Instructions: First we have to think of any type of poem about anything in the world, whatever comes to mind you can turn it into different types of poems. Next we have to create a piece of artwork showing or reposting your poem.

I have created a google slide showing these to things and a title page.
I have written my poem about cotton candy. I have written this because it was the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of a piece of artwork I could create. I decided to focus more on the taste with this poem.

I really Enjoyed creating the piece of artwork. This is because I had a lot of fun playing with the different shades and colours. I think that one thing that I did find a bit challenging was describing a bit more about the cotton candy and what it tasted like. I overcame this challenge because I almost put myself in that place and that was happening at the time.

Spy Fox

I am so beyond excited to share with you all today some of my new work. In class we always do a long write on Tuesday, This week though we are going to start doing it on a wednesday. The teachers always show us some type of video to help us write our story. We have some super cool examples for us to choose from and I will show you here

.

 I  have chosen a non chronological report.  because I haven't done a piece of writing like that for a long time and I think that I nailed it. I am really proud of it because I was always really fond of these pieces of wiring and I loved to share my own with you.

We had to do our work on spy fox. Here is a link to the video we watched.

He is a spy that has to save Lily from hammerhead. ( he is a shark ).

I really enjoyed creating this because I think that it is a good way to share some work and get feedback for my next piece of writing. I will always have your feedback in mind.

I found it challenging to remember every part of this type of writing because I haven't  written a piece like this in awhile.

The Shadow

What is this blog going to be like today?
Well today I am excited to share with you one a small short story that I have created.
I am excited to share this with you because I think that it sounds really good and has a rhythm to the story.

I really think that it is a good piece of writing but before I try and make it into a full story I thought I might get some of your feedback.

I wrote this today after I had finished a math test. I think that it is one of my most different pieces of writing I have created. Why? I think this because my pieces of writing are usually horror and scary or something like a moment in time where im describing something that has happened to me or where I am

I have created a small black and white colored themed slide ( to match the text ). I would call this piece of writing more of a prototype for the really thing if you don't know what that is it is a real life plan of a project. I think that when I go more in depth of some of the parts it will be really good. What do you think?


My favorite part. I really enjoyed creating the story and the slide theme as well. I really like how the prototype of my story came out.
I found it challenging to only add in the key points and then improve it from there.
One more thing because I show you my story I would really like to add in some pictures or illustrations and i'm not sure what. What are some of your ideas?

( Home Learning ) My Dream Home

Today's blog post I have created a small slide showing you all my dream house all of the rooms inside. I have labeled the inside of the house. If you were thinking about doing something like showing a room or house there are a few other ways to do it other than the way I have. You can  create an overview shot of the room or house. Or you can make something showing the side view.

For this Home learning work I have to do the following. Show a diagram and picture of the house. If you think I have not meet those instructions please let me know in the comments.

If you were to make your dream house what would the features be? Colour, rooms etc.

I have chosen the colours on the outside of the house because they are calming and soft ad it would be easy to match the inside of the house.

I found it challenging adding in every room so because of the size of the house I am only living with myself and dog : ). So Next time I think that I will create it bigger to have more room.

I really liked deciding the colour and creating the outside of the house.

My Time To Teach!

Today I am going to be teaching you something that I have been focusing on for the past two days and I am proud to say that have finally got it and I can completely understand it.

What will I be teaching?

I will be teaching you the quickest way to find the square root of a three digit number.
to explain a bit further this means that I have now learned the easiest and quickest way to turn your square root knowledge into an answer.

I have created a small google drawing with the straps and the answer at the end ( no cheating :) ). I tried to make it look as fun and as less boring as possible but it is hard because its maths.

I found it difficult in some areas because sadly I have now learned that you have to fully understand every step to teach it to someone else and it is a bit harder than expected because if you get it wrong others do to . My favorite part was playing around with the fonts and background to make it look passable.

Please let me know in the comments if you understand it all and to make it harder try and figure it out under 6 minutes for your first try. Try and create your own and write it in the comments and I will try to figure it out and tell you my answer in my reply!
